Dr. Michelle Whitford is a board certified emergency medicine physician originally from Northern Michigan. She attended Goshen College in Goshen Indiana where she received a B.A. in Biology and a minor in Spanish. After graduating, she became an IT systems administrator in Goshen while studying for the medical school entrance exam. Graduating from Indiana University School of Medicine in 2006, she then attended an emergency medicine residency at St. John's Hospital and Medical Center in Detroit, MI. After finishing residency in 2009, she continued to work in the Detroit metro area before moving to South Lake Tahoe in the summer of 2010.
She has an interest in Wilderness and International Medicine. In her spare time, she enjoys rock climbing, kayaking, running, biking, and traveling. She also likes to cook, bake, knit, dabble in music, and spend time with her cats.
