Dr. Metz attended the California Polytechnic State University, San Luis Obispo (Cal Poly) in SLO, California after a year stint as a University of Maryland Terrapin. She graduated from Cal Poly with a BA degree in Kinesiology in 1998. After graduating from college she took some time to explore life traveling through the US and Europe before beginning medical school at the Medical College of Wisconsin in Milwaukee,WI in 2002. She earned her MD degree in 2006 and completed her residency training in Emergency Medicine at the Beth Israel Deaconness Medical Center Harvard Affiliated Emergency Medicine Program in Boston, Massachusetts in 2009, where she became an avid Red Sox fan.
After completing training, Dr. Metz joined the physicians at Health Front. She has greatly enjoyed the eclectic environment both of the Santa Fe community and environment. She looks forward to continuing working with the people of Santa Fe in providing health care and education both in the Emergency Department and out in the community.
She is very thankful to be experiencing Santa Fe with her husband, Mark. Together, they love to ski and snowboard, swim, trail run, hike, mountain and road bike, and camp. They have greatly enjoyed all of the outdoor activities that Santa Fe has to offer.
