Dr. Oscar Lujan, a practicing emergency physician, is board certified by the American Board of Emergency Medicine and has been serving the communities of Santa Fe and Albuquerque since 1993.
Dr. Lujan graduated from California State University (Los Angeles) with baccalaureate and graduate degrees in botany, prior to completing his medical education at the University of California (San Diego) School of Medicine. He completed his emergency medicine residency at the Pennsylvania State University Medical Center in Hershey, Pennsylvania.
Prior to Dr. Lujan's medical training, he taught secondary school biology and physiology in California. He has practiced emergency medicine throughout the southwestern states of California, Arizona and New Mexico. Additionally, Dr. Lujan has served as an Associate Professor of Health Sciences at California State University (Los Angeles), and as the Associate Residency Director in Emergency Medicine at the Los Angeles County / University of Southern California Medical Center.
Dr. Lujan retired in 2008 from the United States Navy Medical Corps Reserves after 24 years of service. He was activated three times over his naval career and served two tours in Iraq.
