Dr. Knox Kinlaw has lived in Santa Fe and worked at CHRISTUS St. Vincent Regional Medical Center (CSVRMC) since finishing residency in 1997. Born in Chapel Hill, NC and still a Tarheels fan, he has made New Mexico his home. He has chosen to stay in the land of enchantment for a variety of reasons. He enjoys kayaking and climbing and can hit world class single track from his backyard. He is married and has 2 boys ages 9 and 10 and feels that the small town atmosphere of Santa Fe is ideal for raising children. He currently coaches an age group swim team and has spent a lot of time on deck and in the water with The Santa Fe Blue Sharks.
Dr. Kinlaw loves the desert southwest and what it has to offer in terms of weather, outdoors and wide open spaces – things that can be found at other locations. However, Dr. Kinlaw feels that Santa Fe is a special place where his current Emergency Physician group, Health Front and the Santa Fe community provides the perfect mix of busy and challenging work for a qualified Emergency Physician. Because the CSVRMC is a trauma center that often sees a high volume of patients with a high level of acuity and at times he may be the only Emergency Physician providing care, Dr. Kinlaw is able to use all of his Emergency Physician skills and training.
Dr. Kinlaw enjoys practicing emergency medicine with Health Front, an independent and democratic group of Emergency Physicians. He has developed many friendships among hospital staff and most of all he greatly enjoys the unique patient population in Santa Fe and is honored to serve Santa Fe and the surrounding communities of Northern New Mexico. He feels grateful that he is able to work in a great place that truly needs his skills and the services, and makes him feel appreciated for the things he does.
